History helps us understand change and how the society we live in came to be. History is an important subject on the curriculum as it provides learners with an understanding of how society has been shaped today. Students develop a variety of essential skills whilst studying the subject. There are five skills of history; chronological awareness, historical knowledge and understanding, interpretations, historical enquiries and organisation and communication.
