Young people you have a second language are at a huge advantage in lifeBeing able to speak a second language opens doors to new friendships, gives students a greater facility to learn different tongues and enables them to think both laterally and creatively.

 SPANISH

To develop the ability to understand and use Spanish effectively for purposes of practical communication:

  • To form a basis in skills, language and attitude required for further study.
  • To offer insight into the culture and civilization of Spain and Spanish-speaking countries.
  • To encourage positive attitudes towards foreign language learning.
  • To promote respect for other cultures and civilizations.

Students learn language skills required to communicate in real life situations. Spanish prepares students for a possible future career where the ability to speak Spanish may be useful or essential.

FRENCH

To develop the ability to understand and use French effectively for purposes of practical communication.
