About Saint David's High School.

Saint David's High School is an 11-16 comprehensive school situated in the heart of North Wales, Flintshire, as a unifying hub that brings learners from across the Saltney and Broughton area together. Our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment reflects our dedication to providing students with a comprehensive education that transcends geographical boundaries. Together, we strive to cultivate a community of learners who are empowered to excel academically, socially, and personally, preparing them for a bright and successful future."

We strive ‘to be the best we can be, every day.’

Over a year we expect pupils to achieve 94% attendance or above.

Those who fall below this expected level may be seen by a member of the Learning Management team to discuss why this low attendance could be and if there is anything we can help them with to show improvement.
We try to reward good attendance every half term with rewards for tutor groups and individuals. Our most recent rewards were a non-uniform day for the best groups in Key Stages 3 and 4, as well as a V.I.P breakfast for every pupil in lower school on 100% attendance. We are very proud to have so many of our pupils having not missed a single day of school so far this year.

Mission Statement

We are developing ambitious and capable lifelong learners who are able to reach their full potential in an ever-changing world. Learners who can show enterprise and creativity, having the ability to contribute to our community. Learners who are ethically informed citizens of the local area, Wales and the world. Healthy and confident, our learners will be ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of our society.

We strive ‘to be the best we can be, every day.’

Saint David's High School uses Google Workspace throughout education.

Initially purchasing 30 Chromebooks in 2016 Saint David's High School built our google platform for a small amount of users, that number has now grown to over 400+ devices and over 600+ active workspace users.

We are constantly striving to offer our students the best possible teaching and learning experiences and access to technology.

By including Google Workspace, Saint David's High School has promoted digital learning across our Cross-curricular deployment, more information can be found on our Curriculum for Wales page.

At the start of 2020, St David’s was awarded Google Reference School status. This means we have been recognised by Google for our ‘outstanding use of technology to drive learning outcomes’.

At the time of writing, we are the first and only High School within the GwE region to be awarded this recognition.

Being a Google Reference School demonstrates that our staff and students are responsible, competent and confident users of technology and that we can now officially continue to offer support to other schools both on a local and national level.

We believe that learning does not stop at the school gates and that G Suite gives us the tools needed to allow blended learning opportunities for all of our students.
